We are excited to offer dancewear at Southside Ballet this year! You can purchase and pay for all of your dancewear at the studio!

Recital Tights and Shoes are subject to change based on recital costume Your child does not need to change tights during classes but will need appropriate tights for performances. Dancers may select comparable brands as long as they are approved by the teacher before use – color and quality match.

PreBallet/Tap

  • Young Ladies: Pink Leotard, Pink Dance Tights, Leather Ballet Shoes (full sole), Patent Leather Tap Shoes Black velcro.
  • Gentlemen: Black Shorts, White T-Shirt, Leather Ballet Shoes (full sole) Black, lace up tap shoes Black.

Ballet/Tap I

  • Young Ladies: Black Leotard or dance dress, Pink Dance Tights (no seam), Leather Ballet Shoes (full sole)Pink, Patent Leather Tap Shoes Black velcro, Light Suntan Dance Tights will also be needed for Spring Recital).

Ballet/Tap/Jazz II & Mini Company

  • Young Ladies: Black Leotard or dance dress, Pink Dance Tights (no seams), canvas ballet shoes (split sole)pink, Mary Jane Style Tap Shoes with buckle Tan, Slip on Jazz Shoes Tan. (Light Suntan Dance Tights will also be needed for Spring Recital).
  • Gentlemen: Black Shorts, White T-Shirt, Leather Ballet Shoes Black, Lace Up Leather Tap Shoes Black, Slip on Jazz Shoes Black.

Ballet/Tap/Jazz III & Petite Company

    • Pointe shoes for dancers who have been evaluated and placed en pointe by their instructor must be fitted and ordered t a local dance store. Ask Director for recommendations.

Lyrical – All Levels

Acrobatic Arts – All Levels

  • Young Ladies: Any color leotard, light Footless Tights Light Suntan. (Footless or convertible tights for every class).
  • Gentlemen: Any color shorts, any color T-Shirt.

Adult Tap

  • All Students: Black Lace Up Leather Tap Shoes – check with instructor before purchase.
